If you turn right to the next bus stop at Fen Drayton Lakes the distance is one mile. Maybe catch the bus to the Fen Drayton Lakes stop and have a wander there. The routes are well marked in their guide at https://www.rspb.org.uk/globalassets/downloads/documents/reserves/fen-drayton-trail-guide.pdfJohn McKinniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14343288656951986095noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17350035.post-11579085959343011292021-09-24T13:42:18.858+01:002021-09-24T13:42:18.858+01:00Can you advise where the nearest stop is when you ...Can you advise where the nearest stop is when you reach the Guided Busway? It would be nice to travel back to St Ives on the bus (we are older walkers) but didnt know if the stop to the right was further away than walking to St Ives. Cant find any markers. Lovely walk though!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16436597759994565844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17350035.post-20018368563967850032020-07-12T07:21:42.551+01:002020-07-12T07:21:42.551+01:00Glad you enjoyed the walk. It was a bit muddy underfoot when I went and ended up walking straight down London road and across the roundabout to The Low Road - far too many inquisitive calves in the field for my liking! I've change this to say 'walking parallel to the busway track above'. Hope that sounds better. We didn't walk under the busway, but turned right immediately before the busway and climbed a slope to access the bus way and then turned left to walk into St Ives. Hope this helps others, ( unless we took a wrong turning!) We moved up to Cambridgeshire in 2013 and have used it a number of times for walks - a great way to get to know the local area.

One small suggestion for this one - on Point 3 you could say which way (left) to turn after crossing the footbridge.

Thanks

IanAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13202826589944509799noreply@blogger.com
